It's hard to find good help!

Jeremy took off this week for a meeting in PA. It has been really surprising to me lately how much Ellie has been stepping up (in good and not-so-good ways) as the "big sister."

She plays (mostly) nicely with Gideon out back - teaching him the fine details of being knocked down by a person swinging, what it feels like to be run over by a scooter, and (on the nicer end of it all) how to swing and climb. It's quite entertaining to watch from the kitchen window - if not educational!

The other night, Ellie really wanted to step up and help with Josie. Me - being ever the person to value a servant's heart - thought, "Why not?!" I let her feed Josie. It was a mess - and it's unknown how much food actually made it into Josie's mouth - but it's all practice, right? Needless to say, I was thankful that she wanted to help. And I, no doubt, will let her practice a lot more!
